The Benefits of Facebook “Friends:” Social Capital and College Students’ Use of Online Social Network Sites:

I would probably create a survey asking students what type of app they use most of the time and why? I would also ask their opinions on what are the top concerns that their community are dealing with at FHS and how their social media apps play a role on dealing with these problems? Does their social media make things better or make things worse?
My DQ is: How can an online community contribute to solving student relationship problems at Fairfield High School? Does social media create a more positive or negative school environment? What is the impact of social media on social capital?
Some of the questions I would need to know to address my DQ would be: 1. What types of student relationship problems exist at FHS? 2. Define "social capital" and what it means today? 3. What type of "social media" do students use and can they help solve student relationship problems at FHS? 4. What are the benefits / costs of today's "social media"? I believe by answering these type of questions can help me answer my question of how to get my students more involved with the world outside of their own and how can my students be proactive to make this world a better place.
