This research was orchestrated over a short time frame of only two weeks. Some of my students who participated in this study had technology limitations or internet accessibility issues. A few students did not have technology, lacking cell phones to check their SNS or lacking an account with any SNS to participate in the study. Others did not have access to technology at home, making it only possible to access their SNS at school using the free wifi provided by the school district. Another limitation of this research was the type or frequency of news displayed in each of the Social Network Site used by the students. The quality and quantity of political and social issues displayed within the newsfeed of the various SNS varied from one site to the next. Snapchat mostly promoted personal videos of individuals and displayed very little political or social issues on their newsfeed while Facebook or Twitter had many more articles and videos on political or social issues on their newsfeed.
